Today Mario our wonderful farrier will be back to the farm to finish some of the herd trims as well as try to find some hope for Toby the new horse who came to us with Summer sores and very bad feet. If anyone can help this gentle giant it will be Mario. We will post pics of Toby’s feet and progress as we go. Poor Toby came to us with his front feet shod and his front left foot mostly covered in epoxy. He in addition has large summer sores the size of an adults palm of your hand on his front right fetlock, left rear inside and outside of his fetlock….. Baby steps for Toby……

Toby came to us as a owner surrender as he has had summer sores that refuse to heal, a lameness on his front right hoof and in need of some rest and help for his hooves. Toby has large summer sores the size of the palm of your hand, and they will take months to heal in. We are having the farrier and vet out today for evaluations and to start treatment with him.
